He was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed camping, fishing "teaching his grandkids the art of fishing", working in the garage and tinkering with anything he could get his hands on.
He was also a huge animal lover, caring for any stray that came along.
He retired from the International Harvest Farmall Plant in 1988.
Those left to honor his memory include his daughters, Stacey (John) Parker, Bettendorf, IA. Shelly (Scott) Dean, Davenport, IA. and his 4 grandchildren Taylor and Brecan Dean, Collin and Grace Parker. A sister, Beverly Ann (Jack) Heck, Moutain View, Arkansas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 6 sisters, 3 brothers.
Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded and a private burial of the cremains will be at a later date.
